Providing equal opportunities to learn and succeed in life is one of the basic values in Finnish education. This is ensured in many ways. This course concentrates on special education that is one the most important ways to increase equality between students.
The most important part of the course is to provide You with some good practices and tools that You can use in Your own classroom. You do not have to be a special education teacher to benefit from these ideas and tools. These tools have been widely tested in Finnish classrooms and seen useful in everyday work of Finnish teachers.
This course also gives You a short introduction to Finnish special education. It shows You what our support system is based on and how it is implemented in practice.
